Unfortunately, for numerous children across the world, schooling does not lead to learning as the quality of the education provided, if at all, is compromised due to certain barriers which impede and render efforts and provision ineffective.

Some of these barriers, as also identified by UNICEF, are:

BARRIER TO EDUCATION

Of all the barriers identified, poverty remains one of the most dominant barriers as it is either directly or indirectly related or the cause of some of the other barriers. Poverty causes a child to come into school hungry and unable to assimilate the knowledge, which is to be disseminated in the classroom, if there is one available. It causes families to engage in child labour, which in return results in children coming into school exhausted and unable to fully take advantage of available knowledge acquisition opportunities. Poverty causes a family to lack suitable housing or experience overcrowding which could lead to unrest for a child and affect their ability to fully benefit from available educational provision.
This is why we work to eradicate poverty from the regions we work in to ensure that children are able to fully benefit from the quality educational provision we help to provide.

£5 per month

£5 a month over a year could provide 100 children with a vital learning resource.

£10 per month

£10 a month over a year could provide 500 nourishing breakfasts for children, improving attendance, attainment, and alleviating hunger so children can thrive.

£20 per month
£20 a month over a year could provide a school with books to use in creating a library so children have access to life-changing learning resources and books which will help them achieve their true potential.

    One-off
    One-off donations will contribute to the purchase of our mobile classroom vehicles to ensure children in the most remote areas are reached and granted an opportunity to thrive. Each mobile classroom vehicle will provide access to education for up to 1200 children aged 2 – 15 years every month. In addition, one-off donations also help us achieve our goal of building classrooms, laboratories or schools in communities that need those the most.
